Stellantis Recalls About 1.23 Mln Pickup Trucks For Issues With Certain Tailgate Latching Components
Stellantis N.V. (STLA), formed by the merger Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. and France's Peugeot S.A., announced Tuesday a voluntary recall of an estimated 1.23 million pickup trucks to inspect and realign, as needed, certain latching components on their tailgates.
The recall is limited to certain model-year 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups. The company said vehicles equipped with Ram's multifunction tailgate and Ram 1500 Classic pickups are unaffected. Vehicles equipped with sensors that alert drivers to insecure tailgates are also excluded.

The Bank of England is likely to shift the gear down on interest rate hikes this week as the economy enters a 'prolonged' recession and inflation is seen slowing towards the 2 percent target in two years' time. UK Unemployment Rate Rises, Wage Growth Strengthens
The UK jobless rate edged up again in the three months ended October as firms held back recruitment amid recession fears but wage growth remained strong, fueling pressure on the Bank of England to hike interest rates further in a bid to rein in inflation. The ILO jobless rate climbed to 3.7 percent in the three months to October, figures from the Office for National Statistics showed on Tuesday.

Switzerland To See Sluggish GDP Growth, Severe Recession Unlikely
The Swiss economy will experience sluggish growth but it will not enter a severe recession next year, and is set to fare better in 2024 on the back of a global recovery, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, or SECO forecast Tuesday. The economy will grow only 1.0 percent next year, instead of 1.1 percent estimated in September. The outlook for 2022 was retained at 2.0 percent.
